The Company is managing changes in its energy consumption and waste emissions, in accordance with legal requirements.
Our goal for FY 2030 is to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% compared to FY 2019. To achieve this, all of our offices and sites actively promote energy-saving efforts.
Going forward, we are planning several initiatives including installing photovoltaic power generating system and utilizing renewable energy.
In March 2005, the Company succeeded in reducing the amount of waste it sends to landfills to zero (zero emissions) at all sites in Japan. In addition, the Company is progressing with reducing the amount of waste it generates by recycling 100% of its industrial waste.
To ensure a low-carbon supply chain, since 2010, the Company has carried out surveys of the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by its business partners. The amount of greenhouse gases emitted by all business activities is monitored quantitatively, with the intention that this will lead to reducing greenhouse gas emissions throughout each product’s lifecycle.
