Energy-saving measures at R&D center
[Reduced fuel consumption by replacing the power source during thermal fatigue endurance tests]

Thermal fatigue endurance tests of exhaust system parts used to be conducted using the high-temperature exhaust gas of a gasoline engine. These tests required substantial amounts of gasoline. We significantly reduced energy use by deploying an Exhaust Simulator, a highly efficient high-temperature gas generator that uses LPG as fuel.
